The Hidden Monastery

Jax has been connected to Peng from the moment Peng fell from the sky as a tiny creature and landed on the baby Jax’s palm. Since that day, Jax has had a mark on his palm, shaped a little like a water dragon. The two are connected in a mysterious way, but Jax has no knowledge of Peng or that he is destined to become the Peng Master until he stumbles across a monastery hidden in the middle of a huge old park in the city. He is invited in by Yu Yu, once she is sure he is human and not a hungry ghost. Yu Yu is an Australian girl who was left on the doorstep of the monastery as a baby and has been raised by the monks. To Jax’s confusion, though she has blonde hair and blue eyes she behaves exactly like a Chinese girl – and can speak the language better than he can. Jax stays at the monastery and learns gong-fu, and finally the abbot reveals to him that Jax is the new Peng master and he must join forces with the Peng to subdue the hurricane that is about to descend.
