The Kite Princess Book and CD

Princess Cinnamon Stitch is a tomboy who has no interest in courtly life. To her parents’ dismay, she cartwheels through puddles and dances with flea-ridden cats. Discover how she succeeds in teaching the king and queen that there are more important things in life than decorum and show. Laura-Kate Chapman’s eye popping artwork makes this rhythmic text soar. AUTHOR: Juliet Clare Bell wrote The Kite Princess while bringing up her young family, working in twenty-minute sessions on park benches or at the swimming pool. Before becoming a mother she worked in research as a developmental psychologist. She now coordinates the central west region of the Society of Childrens’ Book Writers and Illustrators and runs critique groups. Laura-Kate Chapman enjoys creating unusual and convincing characters by weaving intricate and eccentric patterns into her work. Her art is predominantly hand drawn and painted, using a variety of media. The Kite Princess is her first book. Ages: 3-8
