The Queen's Cubby

Elizabeth thinks living in a block of flats is like living in a castle. Wearing her tiara, she waves at her neighbours from her balcony and they, in turn, greet her as “Your Highness”. Then one day she finds a pile of packing boxes in the kitchen…is this the end of her reign or, with her dad’s help, the opportunity to expand her empire?

Elise says this gave her a head start and she was already painting pastel landscapes while at school. She has won many awards for her artwork. Her previous Lothian books were A Dream of Bunyips Dancing and The Elephants’ Big Day Out, which was shortlisted for the 2003 Crichton Award.
