Tuck Everlasting

Doomed to – or blessed with – eternal life after drinking from a magic spring, the Tuck family wanders about trying to live as inconspicuously and comfortably as they can. When ten year old Winnie Foster stumbles on their secret, the Tucks kidnap her and explain why living forever at one age is less than a blessing that it might seem. And then Ma Tuck, in defending their secret, does something terrible…A thought-provoking adventure classic, Tuck Everlasting has become an international best-seller, with world-wide sales of over 2 million copies, and has been translated into 18 different languages. The pros and cons of everlasting life is a topic that can be discussed in so many ways – both in the classroom and out – and the merits of the rights and wrongs of Ma Tuck’s actions also provide a rich, thought-provoking source of debate. This is a must-read book.
