Vinny Drake Is One

Flora knows that Vinny Drake is a real-life vampire: his hair, his teeth, even his name confirm it! In fact, the whole class agree that they can spot a figment when they see one! And in a spirit of completely disinterested altruism, they proceed to help Vinny to his true potential. But he can’t flap well enough to fly, and he isn’t any good at hanging upside down. When the headteacher hears about it, she says, ‘ Bullying will not be tolerated in this school, Flora Gould.’ Oh dear. Flora thought she was only helping!
