Violet Mackerel's Brilliant Plot

Violet Mackerel thinks she would QUITE LIKE to own the blue china bird at the Saturday markets. This is not just a SILLY WISH. It is instead the start of a VERY IMPORTANT idea. But what she needs is a PLOT. A BRILLIANT plot.
•Violet is a much loved character for girls 5+, with her thoughtful, determined and positive can-do attitude, and her creative ways to find solutions to everyday problems.
•Depicts a positive, warm and supportive family environment.
•Violet Mackerel’s Brilliant Plot was Honour Book in the 2011 Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Awards, Younger Readers category.
