Volcano Boy

Placed in the custody of his puritanical Uncle Frank, Alexander finds himself in volcano-circled Rabaul, where the dark powers of the volcano call to him as powerfully as the dark eyes of Alice, his newfound love. Alexander records his experiences in a candid journal that surfaces many years after the volcano’s fury has settled to ash. But what has become of the writer? Libby Hathorn’s powerful prose poem will challenge and enthral Young Adult readers.
