When Saffy’s parents leave in search of the rare Madagascan Moon Moth, Saffy is not at all pleased about having to stay with her boring old aunt Joesa (who must be at least thirty!). Things soon become far from boring, however, when aunt Joesa begins to undergo a bizarre and life-altering change. Saffy promises to help, but can she keep up with the demands? Will her aunt ever stop eating and growing? She’s about to burst at the seams! And what is she doing with all those magazines?
Wings is a picture book for older readers, a light-hearted fantasy, written with warmth and humour through the teenaged Saffy’s eyes.

Carol Chataway

Carol Chataway lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband, three boys and a feisty little rabbit named Bluebell. She undertook every possible creative writing course at Flinders University while completing her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English. She graduated in 2002 and is currently doing Honours in Creative Writing. Her first book was The Perfect Pet, a picture book for children under six, published in 2001.

Declan Lee

Declan Lee was born in Liverpool, England, to Irish parents in 1973. His whole family is creative and he has been drawing for as long as he can remember. After moving to Australia he studied Illustration at the University of South Australia Underdale Campus. He graduated in 1997 and decided to pursue a career in the visual arts, but even though he had several successful exhibitions he returned to his first passion of illustration. His previously published books include I Went Shopping, The Fish and the Cat, The Fox and the Crow, King Midas, The Billy Goats Gruff and The Woodcutter. Declan lives in Wayville, South Australia.
