Wombat's Footy Heroes

This is an inspiring book with a strong character that kids can look up to and is particularly focused on father/son relationships.

Wilson “Wombat” Taylor had an accident while playing football which left him with the special ability to hear other people’s conversations. Wombat uses this skill to help other people – he knows what their problems are and can always arrive in time to set up a situation where they can make up their own solution.

But Wombat has problems of his own. He has a stutter. He has never had a real girlfriend. He has bad eyesight which makes him always drop overhead marks.

Arriving in a town named Finham, Wombat becomes an integral part of the Finham Juniors. But he still can’t take an overhead mark. Will Wombat be able to overcome his stutter, help the people he cares about, solve his eyesight problems and lead Finham to a premiership?
