Worm Gets a Job

“Hard work makes cents! I’m really going places!”
When Worm hears about an upcoming art contest, he’s sure he can win. But he needs new
paints—and to buy new paints, he needs money.
And to earn money, he needs a job. As Worm soon learns, finding a job is hard work —and in
his case, so is keeping one!
Everyone’s favorite invertebrate sets out on a quest for employment—and ultimately,
happiness—a charming tale infused with humor and heart by Kathy Caple.
Kathy Caple is both the author and illustrator of Well Done, Worm! and Wow, It’s Worm! She is
also the author and illustrator of several other picture books, including The Biggest Nose. A
children’s librarian, Kathy Caple has been writing and sketching stories about Worm in her
notebooks for several years. “Worm ofter faces challenges that relate to my own life,” she says.
“He never fails to show me that there’s a humorous side to almost any situation!”
