Cat's Mountain

Cat isn’t used to standing up for herself. She’s never really known how to deal with the other kids in her class who pick on her. So what chance does she have against a couple of desperate gangsters?

When Cat is dropped off at her grandmother’s hut in a remote part of the bush, she suddenly finds herself on her own. Where has her grandmother gone?

Putting together clues, Cat goes out looking for her, and eventually finds the horrific wreckage from a light plane crash at the top of their mountain. Then, when Cat returns to the hut, there’s a wounded man in her grandmother’s bed, but still no sign of her grandmother.

Eventually things start making sense – but not the kind of sense Cat was hoping for: her grandmother returns in the company of the wounded man’s companion – a volatile, gun-wielding woman who holds the two of them hostage.
