Egg’s Tent

Egg's Tent

It’s the holiday season and Flip wants to go camping. All Egg can think of, though, are the dangers they might all run into.
There might be bears. But there are no bears in this part of the country. Well, there might be a bushfire. But they mostly happen in the middle of summer. So it might rain. But it will be dry in the tent.

Egg thinks he’s got the answer: he doesn’t own a tent. But a trip to the camping goods stores will fix that! There are so many colours, but finally Egg chooses a green tent so the bears won’t see it among the trees.

And off they drive to the mountains. After they finally succeed in pitching the tent, it’s time for dinner and Egg eats so many sausages that he can’t get to sleep.

When he sees a shadow on the side of the tent, he throws a can at it, thinking it’s a bear. But it’s only the ranger. Coming to warn them about the storm.

Just as Egg had feared, it does rain, but they’re snug and warm in their tent, and the bears will be snug and warm in their caves. So Egg decides that he does like camping after all.
