The Bubble

By Josie Montano About · Illustrated by Matt Ottley About

The Bubble is about the journey that one young girl makes through the different phases and facets of depression to emotional health.
Each phase is represented by a spectacular landscape painting and the imagery and colour in each of the landscapes represent different emotional states, from self-doubt through to self-acceptance. The Bubble is a surrealist sojourn embedded with light and despite the darkness of the theme, the ending is positive and the book will leave young readers empowered and enriched.
