Saving Abbie

Ian and his parents are taking the orangutan, Abbie, back to the forests of Borneo to live in the wild. But has he rescued her only to have her shot by poachers or destroyed by fires lit by timber loggers? This sequel to Wreck gives a rare insight into the destruction of the Indonesian rainforests and the habits of the endangered orangutan while telling an enthralling story. Ages 12+ and useful for units of work on rainforests and environmental studies.
